As spring breathes new life into the world, ESET SOLAR, an expert in smart green manufacturing and full-scenario PV mounting solutions, draws inspiration from the flexible climbing of plant vines and the tension balance of spider webs. Centered on a prestressed cable structure, our PV Flexible Mounting System enables PV power stations to take root and thrive on steep slopes, deserts, ponds, and other complex terrains.
The Jinneng Tianzhen 100MW PV Power Generation + 10% Energy Storage Project has been operating smoothly for years since its grid connection. It stands as a benchmark project showcasing ESET SOLAR’s commitment to green development and industry expertise. Located in Lujiawan Town and other areas of Tianzhen County, Datong City, Shanxi Province, the project sits at an altitude of 1,280 meters with a maximum slope exceeding 60°, featuring extremely complex terrain. The core challenge was to achieve stable and efficient power generation while protecting the mountain ecology. ESET SOLAR provided the perfect solution for mountainous scenarios with its PV Flexible Mounting System.
Steel Reduction & Eco-Protection for Efficient Space Utilization
To address the complex mountainous terrain of the Tianzhen Project, ESET SOLAR adopted a flexible mounting system consisting of a main steel frame, diagonal braces, and cable components. PV modules are fixed onto two tensioned steel strands, replacing the purlins of traditional mounting systems. This design reduces foundation usage by over 60% compared to conventional structures.
It drastically cuts steel consumption and minimizes foundation excavation, avoiding damage to surface vegetation caused by large-scale land leveling. Meanwhile, the structure easily achieves a large span of 15–40 meters, with flexible and adjustable spans that can be designed as multi-bay structures according to terrain conditions. Unconstrained by valleys, gullies, or steep slopes, its exceptional terrain adaptability turns previously unusable mountainous land into a green base for clean power generation.
Efficient Construction for Reduced Ecological Disturbance
The major pain points of mountain construction include complex terrain, high construction difficulty, and high risk of man-made disturbance to mountains. ESET SOLAR has developed a targeted infinitely adjustable support + chain tie-rod structure, which effectively reduces the types of support specifications and enables size adaptation within a limited range. This improves installation efficiency by over 30% and reduces the frequency and scope of mechanical operations during construction, fundamentally lowering man-made disturbance to mountainous terrain.
The flexible mounting system also supports high-clearance three-dimensional layout, creating a composite space model with PV modules on top and planting and breeding below. While enhancing the light capture efficiency of PV modules, it frees up ground space for diversified ecological operations, promoting harmonious coexistence between industrial facilities and the natural environment. It truly delivers an integrated solution for efficient construction, green implementation, and long-term stability of mountain PV projects.
Stable Support for Balanced Micro-Ecology
The Tianzhen Project area often experiences strong winds, making the wind resistance of mounting systems critical to long-term project safety and regional micro-ecological protection. ESET SOLAR has built a multi-level defense system: triangular support & rigid connection system + coordinated mass damping system + anti-wind anchor system. Having passed professional reliability tests on steel strands and anchors, as well as authoritative third-party wind tunnel tests, the mounting system can withstand Grade 13 strong winds through synergistic structural effects, completely solving the industry pain point of poor wind resistance for PV mountings in complex mountainous areas. It also effectively prevents secondary damage to vegetation and soil caused by mounting collapse in strong winds, maintaining the micro-ecological balance of the project site and forming a virtuous cycle between clean energy development and ecological protection.
Greening goes beyond a single day; protecting nature lies in long-term commitment. With years of deep cultivation in the PV mounting industry, ESET SOLAR relies on vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities and continuous technological innovation. Its cumulative shipments have exceeded 50GW, and global projects reduce over 44.8 million tons of CO₂ emissions annually — equivalent to planting about 249 million trees — creating a thousands-mile-wide sunlit forest for the planet.
In the future, ESET SOLAR will focus on technological innovation to enable the coordinated development of PV and ecology in more complex terrains. Guided by its brand philosophy “Reliable Support for a Shared Future”, the company will contribute every bit of professional strength to the realization of the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, and to a greener and more beautiful Earth.
